The Indoor Trainer (IDT) offers a fully immersive training experience, guiding the operator through the entire sequence of operations. This includes target acquisition utilizing a simulated image environment, culminating in the simulated launch and impact of a SPIKE missile. The IDT meticulously replicates the operational characteristics of the SPIKE system, including aural sensing, ergonomic feedback, control responses, visual imagery through the sights, as well as symbol and command function messages. This high-fidelity simulation ensures that operators are thoroughly familiarized with the system’s functionalities in a controlled, risk-free environment.

The SPIKE team trainer is engineered to replicate real-time battle management challenges, providing a robust training platform for command and control of multiple launchers, and fostering seamless coordination between observation and fire positions. It is designed to train gunners and commanders in the execution of various operational scenarios under diverse conditions. The STT offers a unique capability to simulate different environmental conditions, using a real-terrain database to recreate scenarios with varying visibility, simulating seasonal changes throughout the year.
