Spike NLOS

SPIKE NLOS, the largest member in the SPIKE Family of precision-guided electrooptical missiles, is a multi-purpose missile providing pinpoint precision, with an exceptional operating range of up to 32 km – and up to 50 km from rotary platforms – successfully engaging Non-Line-of-Sight targets. Launched from the air, on land, or from naval platforms, SPIKE NLOS delivers critical real-time tactical intelligence and damage assessments, allowing it to adjust targets and abort missions mid-flight, and operate in both offensive and defensive scenarios. The system includes several ground-breaking capabilities – salvo controls, system hand-over, target acquisition, and extended ranges – enabling rapid closure of sensor-to-shooter loops and neutralization of swarm attacks from significant stand-off ranges.

FAQ - Spike NLOS

Q: Can I use the SPIKE NLOS in a GPS denied environment?

A: Yes, the SPIKE NLOS missile is designed to operate effectively in a GPS-denied environment. It uses a hardened RF data link employing military frequencies immune to jamming and electro-optical guidance for real-time targeting, allowing the operator to manually track and adjust the missile mid-flight without relying on GPS. This capability ensures precision strikes even in contested electronic warfare conditions where GPS signals may be jammed or unavailable.

Q: How does SPIKE NLOS engage targets beyond line-of-sight?

A: It utilizes a bi-directional data link, enabling real-time, man-in-the-loop control, allowing operators to adjust the missile’s flight path mid-course, reassign targets, or abort missions if needed.

Q: What types of targets can it engage?

A: SPIKE NLOS is designed to strike armored vehicles, fortified positions, enemy command centers, and fast-moving naval or land-based targets with high precision.
